WE Trust is honored to be affiliated with the International Open University of Complementary Medicine (OIUCM), based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. OIUCM stands as the only university in the world that officially recognizes and accredits complementary and alternative medicine. Originally founded in Kazakhstan, the university was established to unify alternative medicine practitioners worldwide, ensuring greater recognition and legitimacy for the field.

However, practitioners in Southeast Asia faced challenges in accessing the university’s resources. To bridge this gap, Acupuncturist Anton Jayasuriya took the initiative to establish a branch campus at his clinic in Colombo. His dedication played a pivotal role in expanding access to OIUCM’s academic offerings, allowing doctors and practitioners across South Asia to benefit from its programs.

Another key contributor to OIUCM’s growth was Master Luong Minh Dang, whose teachings reached students across 82 countries. Master and his students actively participated in the university’s international congress, presenting research papers that further solidified the global impact of HUE. In 2001, OIUCM officially recognized Human Universal Energy (HUE) as an academic subject, reinforcing its credibility in the field of complementary medicine.

After a brief hiatus, OIUCM has now partnered with Azteca University in Mexico, a highly esteemed institution with a network of 15,000 professors and 150,000 students. Azteca University is recognized by the United Nations, UNESCO, the United States, and the European Union, making it one of the most prestigious affiliations in complementary medicine.

Through this partnership, WE Trust proudly offers our students the opportunity to receive internationally recognized certifications and degrees from OIUCM and Azteca University. Master Dang’s teachings have now gained academic validation at a global level, allowing students to submit their thesis and obtain MD and PhD degrees in HUE.

Master believed that academic recognition was essential for HUE practitioners to gain credibility and legitimacy in their field. He ensured that all necessary resources and support were available at OIUCM, enabling students to elevate their knowledge and practice with globally accredited qualifications.
